LETTER FROM OUR PASTOR REGARDING COVID-19

DEAR HOSANNA WOODLANDS FAMILY

We want you to know that the health of each of our members is extremely important and we will be doing everything we have to do to keep the congregation out of danger.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in consultation with experts from various sectors, began reopening the state of Texas on May 1, including churches. There are specific guidelines that churches must follow to reopen. We fully understand and support the guidelines on social distancing, proper cleaning and disinfection, and specific warnings for the most vulnerable.

Here is the plan for the foreseeable future:

SOCIAL DISTANCE – every other row of chairs in the auditorium will be empty, providing adequate space for social distancing. Also, there will be two empty seats on either side of each family unit in the same house or individual. Mouth masks or other substitutes must be worn while we are inside the building. We will carry out COMBINED SERVICES: that is, we will all be in the auditorium together in family units. (At this time, we will not have daycare, children’s ministry, or student ministry.) A cleaning service has been hired to clean before each meeting and our volunteers will be helping to maintain sanitary conditions by opening doors with gloves and distributing antibacterial gel.

Following state recommendations, we are encouraging people 65 years of age and older, and anyone with underlying health problems, to continue to stay home and participate through the online church. Anyone who feels unwell or has any symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home for their safety and the safety of others.

In closing, we want to thank you, because you continually show a generous heart and spirit. This moment is awakening new levels of care, prayer, and outreach, truly better has come out of the worst! Let’s continue to believe in God’s promises, for His provision and protection.

Our family and pastoral team love you – and we are here to serve! See you on Sunday!

Pastors Harold and Elena Guerra
